New Friday session times and instructor
The times for the Friday session have changed to 7am - 10.45am and the gym will no longer be closed between 8.45am and 9.15am for stretch sessions. As part of the relaxation of Covid rules, you no longer need to keep to pre-booked time slots and can come at any time during any of the sessions, but please remember to keep socially distanced and bring your own mats.
GP referrals are also restarting - for more information please call Sally on 07900 445536. Our Friday instructor Jackie, who has been with us since 2014 has had to step down for the time being. We have a new, highly-qualified instructor, Andy, who will look after the Friday sessions.
Our stretch sessions continue on Mondays between 8.45am and 9.15am.
When you join you'll fill in a health questionnaire and your blood pressure will be checked. Then one of our qualified instructors will give you a one-to-one induction showing you all the equipment which you will have an opportunity to try out.
On your second visit our instructors will take you through a structured exercise programme, tailored to your needs and goals. This is a great way to get the most out of your time in the gym. The instructor will explain your programme and demonstrate every step of the way. It will be a lot of information but remember we have an instructor in the gym at all times to give you a hand if you forget.
Your programme can be changed at any time - we recommend changing it every six weeks to keep it effective and exciting but we can change and adapt it at any time.
Sally is a qualified gym instructor with a wide experience in keep fit. She can provide personal training programmes and is qualified to look after patients referred for exercise programmes by their GPs.
Andy does our Friday morning session. He is a freelance personal trainer and fitness instructor, qualified to level 3. He is also a taekwondo instuctor. You can contact him on 07788 253773.
