Village Show

 A reminder that the village show this year will take place on the weekend of 6^thand 7^th July.
All the usual classes of garden produce, kitchen delights and arts and crafts will be available, with a full list going up shortly at the Barn, and online at www.hicklingbarn.com

 As ever, the Barn’s Trustees will be looking for volunteers to help out with setting up, booking exhibits into the show, judging and running the refreshments at the event.

Barn Maintenance

We have a maintenance long weekend planned between 17^th and 20^th May.
The big jobs will be completely painting the outside of the Barn to preserve and stain all the woodwork and weatherboards and we will also be cleaning and staining the various pieces of outdoor furniture and doing some high level cleaning inside.

 
Again, we need volunteers to help with the jobs. Obviously all the materials and brushes etc will be provided, but we need your help and hard labour!
After all, it is your Barn so, even if you can only spare a few hours, please come and help us out and let Tony Swain know you intend to come at

Play Area Improvements

 This year’s play area woodchip is due to arrive around 17^th May and we hope our young friends from Hickling Primary School will be on hand to direct the driver, and roll, rake and spread it out for us!

Barn Bookings

The observant amongst you may have seen a change to a new bookings calendar at the Barn which went live on 12^th November. This will hopefully make bookings easier going forward and will help the Trustees manage the very busy diary more efficiently.  For anyone who books to hire the Barn, could you please check to ensure your existing dates and times have been transferred correctly and if there are any problems please contact us.
